Christopher Scott Herron, 37, died August 17, 2020 at Countryside Meadows in Avon, where he had been living in long-term care for over a year. A lifelong resident of the Franklin area, Chris was born November 29, 1982, and graduated from Franklin Community High School in the Class of 2000.
</p>
<p>
Chris was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Kay (Poe) Herron, in 2019. He is survived by his father, Michael D. Herron of Nineveh; brother, Alan M. Herron (Cassidy); niece Gabrielle Herron; maternal grandparents, Daniel E. and Eva M. Poe, all of Franklin; paternal grandfather, Forrest Herron; and paternal grandmother, Sue Burdine of Waverly.
</p>
<p>
Before becoming severely disabled physically in 2009, Chris worked in construction at Carter-Lee and food services jobs at Don &amp; Donna’s and Bob Evans.
</p>
<p>
During the years of his physical disability, Chris enjoyed collecting rocks and minerals. He had a black-footed African frog in which he cared for. He explored Inner Path spirituality. He also enjoyed studying history and became a loyal fan of the History Channel. He thoroughly enjoyed reading comic books.
</p>
<p>
A private graveside will be held at a later date at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin. Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
