William R. "Bill" Logan, Jr. passed away on Monday, August 31, 2020 at Compass Park in Franklin. He was born in Franklin, Indiana on June 28, 1930 to the late William R. and Edith M. (Jones) Logan.
</p>
<p>
Bill married the love of his life Eleanor M. (Mathena) Logan on December 1, 1951 in Franklin. She preceded him in death.
</p>
<p>
Bill was a jack of all trades. He served in the Air Force from 1951-1953 earning the rank of Staff Sargent. He worked as an electrician for Byce Electric in Franklin then as a Supervisor at Arvin Industries. He went back to school to become an architect. He then found his passion and became an Electrical Engineer. He went to work for James T. Lee and Associates eventually becoming a partner. After selling the company to the InterDesign Group he worked there until he retired. After retirement, he worked for Eye Specialists of Indiana as a driver then as their maintenance/handyman.

After Eleanor had her stroke he was at the nursing home every day helping take care of her and all the other residents.
</p>
<p>
In his free time Bill loved to build model airplanes and "gadgets" to help Eleanor and the other residents at the home with their daily tasks. He donated his planes to local nursing homes for the veterans and also the museums at Camp Atterbury and the Atterbury-Bakalar Air Base in Columbus, Indiana.
</p>
<p>
Bill was preceded in death by his wife, parents and brother, Larry L. "Butch" Logan.
</p>
<p>
Bill is survived by his two sons Michael A. Logan and David B. (Kathy) Logan, both of Franklin. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Ashley Logan, Amy (Jason) Schilk, Zach Logan and his great granddaughters, Zaylee and Emersyn Schilk. He is also survived by his sister, Phyllis Stinson of Franklin and several nieces and nephews.
</p>
<p>
Bill was a member of Franklin Masonic Lodge No. 107, F &amp; A M and Franklin American Legion Post No. 205. He was a former member of Franklin Elks Lodge No. 1818 and Hillview Country Club where he served as President and board member.
</p>
<p>
Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend who will be missed greatly by all who were lucky enough to have known him.
</p>
<p>
There will be no services at this time. Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home in Franklin is assisting the family with arrangements.
</p>
