<p>LOCAL ROUNDUP</p><p>Boys soccer</p><p>Warriors rally past Franklin</p><p>Whiteland used three second-half goals to earn a 4-3 comeback win over Franklin on Thursday night. JD Lompo, Kima Chawngthu, Ben Morgan and Tristan Thomas each found the net once for the Warriors (4-3-1, 3-1 Mid-State), with Thomas netting the game-winner with 9:42 remaining. Goalkeeper Nolan Ferguson preserved the victory with nine saves.</p><p>Griffin Atkison scored twice in defeat for the Grizzly Cubs (4-5, 2-2), with Aaron Richards adding a single goal.</p><p>Trojans, Giants battle to draw</p><p>Center Grove finished in a 2-2 tie with Ben Davis on Thursday. Aaron McDaniel had a goal for the Trojans (3-3-3, 1-2-1 MIC) and also assisted on a score by Landen Montfort.</p><p>Cougars fall to Chatard</p><p>Class A No. 6 Greenwood Christian came up short against Bishop Chatard, 7-1, with three of those goals coming in the final 10 minutes. John Amador had the lone tally for the Cougars (6-3-1).</p><p>Girls soccer</p><p>Woodmen blank Saints</p><p>Emily Metzger and Olivia Brawley each scored a pair of goals in Greenwood’s 8-0 rout of Indianapolis Lutheran on Thursday. Metzger also assisted on three other goals for the Woodmen (6-3), who also got goals from Alonna Magness, Brooklee Dotson, Lilli Vazirri and Abbie Davis.</p><p>Volleyball</p><p>Trojans tackle Falcons</p><p>Katie Egenolf’s 21 kills helped power Center Grove to a 25-23, 25-19, 25-14 sweep of Perry Meridian on Thursday. The Trojans (8-6) also got 10 kills from Grace Boggess and eight from Taryn Kennedy as well as 33 assists and 11 digs from Jenna Otto.</p><p>Roncalli drops Artesians</p><p>Miranda Wilson had 12 kills and Ruthie Neu pulled up 18 digs in Roncalli’s 25-15, 27-29, 25-13, 25-17 win over Martinsville.</p><p>Girls golf</p><p>Trojans cruise at home</p><p>Center Grove rolled past Bloomington North at Hickory Stick on Thursday, 150-175. Lauren Pagel was the medalist for the fifth-ranked Trojans with a 36, and she was followed closely by Camille Short (37), Haidyn Brooks (38) and Meg Fosnot (39).</p><p>Warriors clip Eagles</p><p>Whiteland earned a 215-221 home win over Brown County at The Legends. Tara Watson paced the Warriors with a round of 51.</p><p>Lancers finish second</p><p>Edinburgh lost to Bloomington South and beat Morristown in a three-way match at Timbergate. Morgan Calhoun led the Lancers with a 49.</p><p>Basketball</p><p>Woodmen to host skills camp</p><p>The Greenwood High School boys coaching staff will conduct a fall skills clinic for boys grades 3-5. The dates are October 7, 20, 21 and 28 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Activity Center.</p><p>Cost is $30 per camper and each camper should bring basketball shoes, gym shorts, socks, T-shirt and a water bottle with his name on it.
