Police: Columbus man sold meth in Edinburgh, Franklin

Edinburgh police on Wednesday served a warrant on a Columbus man who allegedly sold methamphetamine on multiple occasions.

Jonathan M. Huff, 31, was arrested and charged with two counts of dealing methamphetamine of 10 or more grams. Both charges are Level 2 felonies, meaning he could face up to 60 years in prison if convicted on both counts and ordered to serve consecutive sentences.

Franklin police gathered evidence that Huff sold meth twice, according to the probable cause affidavit filed in Johnson County Superior Court 3.

The deals took place on two separate days in July, one in Franklin and one in Edinburgh, according to court documents.

Huff sold about 27 grams of methamphetamine over the course of the two drug deals, according to court documents.

A warrant was first issued for Huff’s arrest in late July, with $60,000 cash bond requested. The warrant was reissued Wednesday, according to online court records.

Huff, 200 Hege Ave., Columbus, is being held at the Johnson County jail on $120,000 bond.

He is currently serving one year of probation for operating while intoxicated.
