Michael T. Sergi, 89, of Bargersville, IN passed away on Saturday September 12, 2020 at SouthPointe Healthcare Center in Indianapolis, IN. He was born February 3, 1931 in Indianapolis, IN to Guseppi Sergi and Theresa (Zappia) Sergi.

He married Diana Ruth (Engle) Sergi on August 28, 1954 in Indianapolis, IN, she survives.

He was a graduate of Arsenal Technical High School in Indianapolis. He had been a police officer for the Indianapolis Police Department for twenty years, and was the event coordinator for the Fraternal Order of Police #86 in Indianapolis for ten years.

He owned and operated along with his wife Diana Mike Sergi Catering for fifteen years. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police Indianapolis #86 where he had served as President for ten years. He was a United States Marine Corp Veteran. He enjoyed attending race horse tracks including Churchill Downs, Lexington and attending the Star Light Musicals with his wife, and the music of Frank Sinatra.

Survivors include his wife Diana Ruth (Engle) Sergi of Bargersville, IN; his children Paula Marie Sergi (Tammy Young) of Greenwood, IN, Gina Ann Johnson of Beech Grove, IN and Michael Nicholas Sergi (Daiden) of Mindanao, Philippians; seven grandchildren; and one sister Maria Lorenzano of Beech Grove, IN; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Dominic Sergi, Francis Sergi, Anthony Sergi, Thomas Sergi and Rocky Sergi.

Chaplain Ben Sholtes will conduct a service on Friday September 18, 2020 at 1 p.m. at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN and will be live-streamed for family and friends to connect at www.swartzmortuary.com/obituary/michael-sergi.
