Lucille M. (Kinnick) Snedaker, 96, of Greenwood, Indiana passed away September 22, 2020. She was born May 3, 1924 in Indianapolis to Glenn and Esther (Lawrence) Kinnick.
Lucille married her love, Sylvester “Lee” Snedaker, in 1947 and together they raised two daughters.
When Lucille was younger, she worked for the Indianapolis Star, then moved on to Reliance Insurance until she retired. She and Lee were award winning square dance and round dance partners and traveled the country in shows and conventions sharing their talent. She was also an avid walker. Lucille was always supportive of her daughters in all their endeavors. She loved her family dearly and cared for them in any way she could.
Lucille will be fondly remembered by her daughters, Cheryl Sims (Dennis Alvey) and Sharon (Richard) Avery; sister, Beverly Miller; four grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and beloved husband, Lee, Lucille was preceded in death by three siblings.
Family will receive friends Monday, September 28 from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood, IN 46143 with service to follow at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital: www.stjude.org.
