<p>
Betty Jane Dawson, 95, passed away at home September 27, 2020. She was born to the late Howell and Geneva Weddle in Ada, Oklahoma on May 11, 1925.
</p>
<p>
She was preceded in death by her husband William L. Dawson, son, Randy Dawson, and sister, Mary Jo Huff.
</p>
<p>
Betty married William L. Dawson on June 22, 1946 and was blessed with five wonderful children.
</p>
<p>
She was a dedicated wife and a loving mother who had a great sense of humor.
</p>
<p>
She will be sadly missed by her children: Terry (Dottie), Jeff (Cindy), Brian (Becky), Holly, and daughter in law, Cathy. Grandchildren: JR, Nicole (Eli), Christina (Chris), Natasha (Matt), Jefferson, Logan (Rachel), David (Sasha), Daniel (Petrina), Nicholas (Lisa), Ashley (Ken), Spencer, Blake, and Will, 17 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
</p>
<p>
Betty was best known as the "Pool Lady" until the Greenwood City Pool closed. She was an active member of the Theta Alpha Theta Chapter, Phi Beta Psi Sorority. Betty volunteered for Greenwood Meals on Wheels for over 40 years. She was also an active member of the First Baptist Church of Greenwood. She offered babysitting in her home for many years. She enjoyed sewing, reading and playing cards. Betty was passionate about serving her God and community.

<p>
A visitation will be held Friday October 2nd from 11-1 at First Baptist Church of Greenwood, 99 West Main Street, Greenwood, IN, 46142. A funeral service will begin immediately following visitation. Burial will take place at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
</p>
<p>
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Greenwood Meals On Wheels, 1100 Arroyo Road, Greenwood, IN, 46143.
</p>
<p>
Arrangements have been entrusted to Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service &amp; Crematory, Greenwood Chapel.
</p>
<p>
Due to CDC guidelines, masks are required during the visitation and funeral service.
</p>
