GREENWOOD, INDIANA
Lois J. Burton, 79, of Greenwood, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, October 30th, 2020 in Greenwood, Indiana.
Lois was born on September 29th, 1941 in Martinsville, Indiana to her late parents, Charles G. Clawson and Naomi W. (Vandivier) Clawson.
Lois was employed in the past at Marsh and Kohl’s working as an assistant sale supervisor and trainer.
Lois could be found quilting and crafting while at home in her spare time. Lois found great joy while being in the kitchen baking sweet treats for her friends and family. Decorating cakes for her loved ones to enjoy was an activity that Lois took great pride in. Lois was also involved in the Order of the Eastern Star in the Union Village Chapter #584. She was a Past Worthy Matron from 1974-1975.
Lois is survived by her beloved husband, Bobbie Lee Burton, of Greenwood, Indiana; her two children, Richard A. Burton, of New Whiteland, Indiana, Charles L. Burton, of Tennessee; her two brothers, Charles E. Clawson, of Bargersville, Indiana, Robert L. Clawson, of Franklin, Indiana; her four grandchildren, Benjamin L. Burton, Vanessa L. Burton, Kyle A. Burton, Matthew A. Doan; her great grandchild, Timothy R. Burton; and special person, like a daughter; Angela Speaks.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Charles G. Clawson and Naomi W. (Vandivier) Clawson.
A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, November 4th, 2020 at 2:00p.m. following a visitation from 12p.m to 2p.m at the Jessen Funeral Home ~ Franklin Chapel. Burial to follow the funeral on Wednesday, November 4th, 2020 at First Mount Pleasant Church Cemetery in Franklin, Indiana.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, masks are required at all services and visitations.
