Mary Lou (Donahue) Gibson, 83, of Franklin, IN passed away Sunday November 1, 2020 at Assurance Health in Anderson, IN. She was born September 12, 1937 in Montgomery, IN to William and Agnes (Patterson) Donahue. She married Joseph L. Gibson on November 1, 1958 at St. Peters Catholic Church in Montgomery, IN, he survives.

She had been a sales associate at K Mart in Greenwood, IN and later worked in the cafeteria for the Center Grove Community School Corporation at the middle school and elementary school. She was a member of Saints Francis and Clare Catholic Church in Greenwood, IN. She enjoyed attending garage sales, collecting dolls, angels and loved flowers. She especially cherished spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband Joseph L. Gibson of Franklin, IN; a son Kevin J. Gibson (Connie Boucher) of Franklin, IN; two daughters Karen L. Thatcher ( fianc? Brian Flynn) of Alabaster, AL and Kristine A. Rodman (Christopher) of Jacksonville, FL; five grandchildren Danielle Markwell (Shad) of Jacksonville, FL, Abigail DeFord (Jacob) of Noblesville, IN, Kelsey Gibson of South Bend, IN, Gabriel Rodman of Jacksonville, FL and Greyson Rodman of Jacksonville, FL; three great-grandchildren Tyler Markell, Tank DeFord and Baby Girl Markell due in March 2021, a sister Gertrude Gibson (Jim) of Lawrenceville, IL;and a brother Joe Donahue (Rita) of Summerfield, FL.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Mike Donahue.

Father Steve Giannini will conduct a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at 10:30 AM at Saints Francis and Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, 5901 Olive Branch Road, in Greenwood, IN. Friends may call Wednesday November 4, 2020 from 5-7PM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN and Thursday from 9:30AM till service time at the church. Due to COVID-19 mandates, facial coverings or mask are required for those attending the church and mortuary. Burial will follow on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at St. Peters Cemetery in Montgomery, IN with a graveside service at 3:30PM.
