GREENWOOD
Elizabeth Garvey-Edwards, age 93, widow of the late Donald R. Dunlap, of Greenwood, passed away on Sunday morning, November 1, 2020.
Elizabeth was born on November 15, 1926 in Indianapolis, IN to Wallace Calvin Edwards and Mabel Lettie Garvey. Elizabeth was a 1944 graduate of Washington High school. On March 23, 1951, she married the love of her life, Donald R. Dunlap, Sr., who passed away in June 2012. Elizabeth worked as a registered nurse for many years. She was an avid gardener and loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include two sons, David E. Dunlap (Peggy) of Lafayette, IN and Donald R. Dunlap, Jr. (Mary) of Greenwood; three daughters, Terri A. Dunlap (Jerry Engle) of Greenwood, Joanna L. Daffron (Brian) of Greenwood and Sarah E. Gleichman (Mark) of Indianapolis; one sister, Lois Lee (Tom) of Indianapolis; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, eight brothers, two sisters, daughter Rebecca A. Dunlap, one grandson Jonathan Dunlap-Eggers, and one great-granddaughter Allison M. Miller.
All services for Elizabeth will be private.
