MORGANTOWN
Ronald E. Shireman, 74 of Morgantown, Indiana passed away early Wednesday morning, November 18, 2020 at his residence.
He was born on December 5, 1945 in Franklin, Indiana to Denzil Shireman and Geneva (Shireman) Shireman. He married Alma L. (Wallen) Shireman on December 5, 1970. She lovingly survives. He is also survived by children, Tony E. (Jennifer) Shireman and Tonya L. (Jeff) Stropes; his faithful companion, Duke; grandchildren, Cody Stropes and Hunter Stropes and great-grandchildren, Loki Stropes and Remi Stropes and one brother, Robert L. (Karla) Shireman. He was preceded in passing by his parents.
He attended Union Township High School and was a graduate of Franklin High School. Ronnie played baseball in high school.
Ronnie was employed by the Johnson County Courthouse, retiring after several years of dedicated service in 2007.
He was a member of the Johnson County Antique Machinery Association. Ronnie enjoyed collecting antiques and antique tractors.
A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held on Friday, November 20, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North), Franklin, Indiana. A private family graveside will be held at First Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
