Jack Opal Carter, 88 of Greenwood, Indiana passed away on November 10, 2020 at his residence. He was born on September 20, 1932 in Bedford, Indiana to the late Nicholas and Eva Carter.
</p>
<p>
Jack would walk several different trails and would pick up trash around the ponds and lakes in the area which earned him the nickname as "Walking Jack".
</p>
<p>
Jack is survived by his children, Mark Carter, Jacqueline (Jackie) Medcalf, 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
</p>
<p>
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Daniel Godsey, sister Evelyn Godsey, and granddaughter Kelly Collar.
</p>
<p>
Family will receive family and friends Saturday, November 21, 2020 from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel, 1977 S. SR 135 Greenwood, Indiana 46143 with service to follow at 1:00 p.m. Graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family ask donations be made to Alzheimer’s Society of Indiana.
</p>
