LB SwaffordFRANKLIN
L B Swafford Sr., age 67 of Franklin passed from this life on Wednesday November 18, 2020 at his residence. He was born on Thursday February 5, 1953 in Richmond Kentucky to Ellis and Mary (Chadwell) Swafford. He Married Sherry Glover on November 29, 1996 at Wright Chapel at the Franklin United Methodist Community. Survivors include his loving wife of 24 years, Sherry Swafford, son LB Swafford Jr. of Indianapolis, grandson LB Swafford III and, sister Ruth Ann Bagosy. His brother in law Johnny (Evelyn Humble) Glover of Franklin Indiana, he is also survived by nieces and nephews.
LB worked at Arvins in Franklin, then went to Kawneer where he worked in the anodizing department. He finished up his career as an overnight delivery driver for Miller Logistics. LB was a Marine Corp Veteran and verry proud of his service to his country. After being discharged he spent 8 years in the National Guard at Camp Atterbury. A member of the Franklin American Legion Post 205 and he attended Marietta United Methodist Church.
LB was an eight-year kidney dialysis survivor, during all those years of dialysis he made many long-lasting friendships with the other patients and the techs and caregivers at DaVita Dialysis Clinic in Franklin.
A Celebration of his life will be Wednesday November 25, 2020 at the Marietta United Methodist Church at 1:00 PM with the Reverends Wayne Grumbling and Donald Bradley officiating. Friends may call at the church from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00. Burial with full Military Honors conducted by Franklin American Legion at Second Mt. Pleasant Cemetery east of Franklin.
