On November 20, 2020, Judith Vandergriff was released from the dementia which had plagued her latter years and went to be with her Lord and Creator.

Judy was born on November 8, 1936 to Gladys and Dewey Weir in Hanover, Indiana. Judy graduated from Sullivan High School in 1954 and from Western College for Women (now Miami University) in Oxford, Ohio in 1958.

In that same year, she married her high school sweetheart, Gary Vandergriff. Their marriage of 62+ years produced four wonderful children, nine grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Gary, and their four children, Jocelyn (Clint) Tutor of Anderson, Indiana, David (Tina) Vandergriff of Itasca, Illinois, Thomas (Kelly) Vandergriff of Louisville, Kentucky, and Gretchen Vandergriff of Greenwood, Indiana; grandchildren, Emily Tudor (Nicholas Desotell), Ellen Vaughn (Anthony), Erich Tudor (Amanda), Samantha Vandergriff, Madison Vandergriff, Nicholette Vandergriff, Landon Vandergriff, Lainey Vandergriff, and Xavier Vandergriff; four great grandchildren; as well as her sister, Janice Krull of Albany, New York.

Judy was a life-long member of the Presbyterian Church wherever she lived. She was an Elder in the Greenwood Presbyterian Church where she was a sixty-year member.

Judy was a loving mother and wife, an excellent teacher, and an exceptional home economist. She was a blessing to many during her lifetime. She will be missed by all of her family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at Greenwood Presbyterian Church at a later date when it is safe to gather after the pandemic. In lieu of flowers and other remembrance gifts, a memorial donation could be given to Greenwood Presbyterian Church, 102 W. Main St., Greenwood, IN 46142.
