FRANKLIN, INDIANA

Virgil L. Johnson, 94, of Franklin, Indiana sadly passed away November 25, 2020 due to a recent illness. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.

Virgil was born in Warren, Pennsylvania and graduated from Warren High School. Virgil enjoyed collecting tools and took great pride his antique collection. He could always be found working and beautifying his yard in his spare time. Virgil also served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and was honorably discharged.

Virgil is survived by his wife Norma L. Johnson, whom he shared seventy years of marriage. The couple had lived in Whiteland, Indiana; Belleview, Florida; Falconer, New York and Warren, Pennsylvania, but have been residents at the Homeview Center of Franklin for the past three years.

He will forever be cherished and remembered by his two children; Sandra Johnson and Luann Ronald) Carlson of Greenwood, Indiana; grandson Michael (Sarah) Carlson; and his great grandson, Kash Carlson.

Virgil was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbert Johnson and Anne Marie Johnson; his daughter Sharon Johnson; and his two brothers Franklin Johnson and Raymond Johnson.

No services are to be held at this time.

Virgil will be buried at Pine Hill Cemetery located in Falconer, New York at a later date.
