Guard Jared DeHart finished with 19 points, three assists and two steals to lead the Bethel men’s basketball team past Spring Arbor, 86-72. The former Indian Creek standout also had eight points, two rebounds and two assists in a 95-92 home loss to unbeaten NAIA No. 3 Indiana Wesleyan.

Duke sophomore golfer Erica Shepherd is among the 21 players listed on the ANNIKA Award Watch List, a preseason honor citing some of the top NCAA Division I women’s golfers. Shepherd performed well in the fall, capturing the Hoosier Amateur and placing third in two other events in the Golfweek College Series.

Indiana Wesleyan sophomore guard Spencer Piercefield had six points, two rebounds and an assist as the Wildcats men’s basketball team won at Marian, 84-76. He finished with eight points, three boards and two assists in IWU’s 95-92 victory at Bethel.
Louisville defensive back Russ Yeast made two tackles and broke up a pass in the Cardinals’ 30-0 shutout of Syracuse.
Indiana defensive end Jovan Swann batted down a pass in the team’s 42-35 loss at Ohio State.

The St. Francis women’s basketball team won at IU Northwest, 60-36, as senior guard Sidney Crowe finished with six points and an assist.
Sophomore guard Megan Harlow had two points and five rebounds in IU East’s 67-62 victory at Bethel.
