Raymond A. Monday, Sr., age 75, of Indianapolis, passed away on Tuesday afternoon at Franciscan Health in Indianapolis.
</p>
<p>
Affectionately known as "Butch" by many family members, Raymond was born in Indianapolis on May 25, 1945 to James A. Monday Sr. and Wilma L. (Baum) Monday. Ray attended Emmerich Manual High School. In 1973, he married the love of his life, Wanda Marie Combs, who survives. Ray worked in maintenance services at University Heights Health and Rehab as well as a few other healthcare facilities over the years. He enjoyed collecting American eagles, fishing and watching various sporting events on TV, especially his beloved Chicago Cubs. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Wanda M. Monday of Indianapolis; sons, Allen Monday (Brandy) of Indianapolis and Jason Monday (Elysa) of Greenwood; one brother, James Monday Jr. (Linda) of Seattle, WA; one sister, Doris Turner of Denver, CO; and two grandchildren, Karlee and Rhett Monday. He is preceded in death by his brother Howard Monday and sisters Anna Stoneking and Edna Faye McKinney.

Funeral services for Mr. Monday will be held on Saturday, December 5 at 1PM at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory-Greenwood Chapel. The family will receive guests at the funeral home from 11AM until time of service. Burial will immediately follow at New Crown Cemetery.
