Victor Manuel “Manny” Garcia, 54, of Whiteland, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

He was born on April 4, 1966 in Juarez, Mexico to Emilio and Virginia (Rivera) Garcia who survive. Manny married Georgiann (Prendergast) Garcia on June 15, 1991. She lovingly survives. He is also survived by children, Elena Ladd (Alex) and Angel Garcia (Justyne); grandchildren, Mia Garcia and Percival Garcia; and siblings, Maria Archer (Pete), Monica Garcia, Richard Garcia, Martin Garcia and Mario Garcia. He was preceded in passing by his sister, Sylvia Garcia.

Manny was a 1987 graduate of Franklin Community High School. He was employed by Caterpillar for nine years and previously worked at Brewer Machines and Holbrook Manufacturing.

Manny enjoyed gaming, listening to classic rock music, and watching movies. Above all, Manny loved spending time with his two grandchildren.

The celebration of life for family and friends will be held on Saturday, December 12 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin.

Per Indiana State Governor, Eric Holcomb, and the Indiana State Department of Health’s mandate for Johnson County, all services and visitations are limited to 50 people or less at one time. Masks are mandatory and are to be worn at all times. The family requests social distancing and asks those who are attending make their visit brief so everyone may be accommodated.
