Bernice Ann (Williams) Doty, 86, of Franklin, IN formerly of Greenwood, IN passed away Tuesday December 8, 2020 at the Indiana Masonic Home at Compass Park in Franklin, IN. She was born June 8, 1934 in Barren County, Kentucky to Henry C. and Anne B. (Proffitt) Williams. She married Hugh Dale “Sam” Doty on October 15, 1950 at Bluff Creek Christian Church in Greenwood, IN, he survives.

She attended Franklin Schools. Ann had worked at the Cafe` at Sears and Roebuck at the Greenwood Park Mall and had been a nursing assistant for Johnson Memorial Hospital. She was a 50 plus year member of the Bargersville Order of the Eastern Star #470 and the Johnson County Homemakers Double Dozen Club. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, making crafts, she was a great cook, organizer and was the family historian in which she loved to tell stories of the family history and sharing pictures. Her life was centered on taking care of her husband of seventy years and her family.

Survivors include her husband of seventy years Hugh Dale “Sam” Doty of Franklin, IN, three daughters Judith A. Sinn (Keith) of Mooresville, IN, Linda J. Doty (Ray Brewer) of Shelbyville, KY, and Carolyn Sue Wilde (Don) of Martinsville, IN, a son Steven D. Doty (Claudia) of Mooresville, IN, 8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, four brothers Eldon Williams of Franklin, IN, Glen Williams (Patsy) of Morgantown, IN, Richard Williams of Greenwood, IN and Eddie Williams of Bargersville, IN, two sisters Henrietta Weddle of Elizabethtown, IN and Jeannie Webb (Terry) of Bargersville, IN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Anita Hogue, Wanda Jane Davis and a brother Rondell Williams.
