Clara J. (Ponsler) Harrison, 83, of Franklin, Indiana passed away on Thursday December 17, 2020 in Franklin.
</p>
<p>
Clara was born on Feb. 13, 1937 in Decatur County, Indiana to the late Clyde R. and Lottie Marie (Phillips) Ponsler.
</p>
<p>
She was married to the late Carl Harrison for 59 years, he passed in December of 2015.
</p>
<p>
Clara was a bookkeeper for the Franklin Community Schools for 30 plus years.
</p>
<p>
Clara and her husband, Carl, were a good dance team, enjoying square, ballroom and line dancing. They also enjoyed traveling.
</p>
<p>
She was a former member of the Eastern Star of Franklin.
</p>
<p>
She is survived by her two children, Kim Facemire of Whiteland and Kevin (Karen) Harrison of Nineveh, four grandchildren, Carma Pagni, Cassie Collins, Dustin Facemire and Kayla Facemire, five great-grandchildren, Trey Pagni, Nate Pagni, Hunter Collins, James Collins and Emilyn Collins.
</p>
<p>
Clara was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Carl, a brother, Paul Ponsler, and two sisters, Evelyn Sims and Bonnie Ward.
</p>
<p>
A private family funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Jessen Funeral Home – Franklin Chapel, 197 E. Jefferson St.
</p>
<p>
Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
</p>
<p>
Memorial donations may be made in Clara’s honor to the Alzheimer’s Association, National Processing Center, P.O.Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090 or online at their site.
</p>
<p>
Per the Indiana State Governor, Eric Holcomb, and the Indiana State Department of Health’s mandate, all services and visitations are limited to 25 people or less as of December 13th, 2020. Masks are mandatory and are to be worn at all times.
</p>
<p>
Arrangements are entrusted to Jessen Funeral Home – Franklin Chapel.
</p>
