Jerald Thomas Neiman, a resident of Indianapolis and Greenwood, passed away on December 14, 2020 at the age of 63. Jerry is survived by his wife Dee Neiman, son Chad Neiman, daughter Chelsea (Tim) Mowry, granddaughter Elizabeth Mowry, mother Carol Neiman, and sister Julie (Alan) Anderson. His father Ralph Neiman and sister Jean (Jim) Canter predeceased him.

Jerry was born to Ralph and Carol Neiman on October 28, 1957 in Franklin, IN and raised in Homecroft, IN. Jerry graduated Southport High School in 1976 then from Ball State University in 1981 with a bachelor’s degree in computer science. He married his high school sweetheart, Dee Neiman. After 35 years of work, he retired from Liberty Mutual. Jerry was a proud member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity, Southport Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and the Murat Shrine. He was a member of the Southport Mason Lodge, Scottish Rite, and Murat Shrine. He was a long-time member of the Valle Vista men’s golf league.

Jerry touched so many lives throughout his 63 years of life. He was the most positive person with an infectious laugh and quick wit. He never met a stranger and made you feel comfortable instantly. He maintained a positive outlook on life throughout his battle with pulmonary fibrosis and subsequent recovery from his lung transplant. Jerry was one of a kind and leaves us with wonderful memories and jokes we will cherish forever.

The Celebration of Life service for Jerry Neiman will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Due to the pandemic restrictions, attendance is limited to family only. The funeral service will be live streamed via Facebook Live.
