<p>
FRANKLIN, IN.
</p>
<p>
Barbara Ann (Cline) Dobbs, 86, left this world for her Heavenly home on Monday, January 4th, 2021. She fought a long and brave battle with Dementia and eventually succumbed to the Coronavirus.
</p>
<p>
Barbara was born in Fairfield, Tennessee on February 3, 1934 to Luther and Georgia Cline. Her mother passed away when Barbara was just four years old. Luther later married Nubia Cline. Including Luther’s children, Nubia’s children and the children they had together, Barbara was one of fourteen kids.
</p>
<p>
She married Joseph Franklin (Joe) Dobbs on Christmas Day, 1952. They lived in Indianapolis until moving to Franklin in 1968. They were partners and eventually owners of Brown’s Regal Markets in Franklin, Whiteland and Edinburgh, Indiana. They retired from the grocery business in 1996, when the Franklin store tragically burned to the ground. Later, they moved to Bargersville, Indiana. Since Joe’s death in 2017, Barbara had been a resident at Homeview Nursing and Rehabilitation in Franklin, Indiana, where she was lovingly cared for by the wonderful staff there until her passing.

<p>
Barbara loved family more than anything. She hosted Sunday dinner every single week for her children and their families, until she was no longer able to do so. Barbara said she and Joe did this to keep their children and grandchildren close. They succeeded at that goal and gave their family many priceless memories to carry with them.
</p>
<p>
Barbara also loved the Lord and serving at her church. She was a member of the church choir and was the church Clerk at First Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Franklin, IN for many years. She also sang in quartets, trios and duets in church over the years, which included singing with her daughters and Joe.
</p>
<p>
Music and singing were in her blood. Her grandmother, Kitty Cora Cline, was the first female artist to play on the Grand Ole Opry. Cora played the Hammered Dulcimer as a regular musician on the show and has been featured in the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville, Tennessee. Several other family members have followed that opportunity and have played the Opry stage, as well. Barbara was so proud of this heritage. The Cline family reunions were filled with playing music and singing. Barbara loved it so much.

<p>
Barbara is survived by her children, Cindy (George) Schoolcraft; Tim (Tricia) Dobbs; Julie (Kevin) Stainbrook; and Bryan (Kim) Dobbs. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Eric Schoolcraft; Kristen (Tim) Craig; Erin (Jake) Mitchell; Sara Dobbs; Nick (Katie) Stainbrook; Brittany (Levi) Smythe; Joe Dobbs; and Morgan (Austin) Day. Her amazing legacy continues with her great-grandchildren, Caleb, Mason, Addison and EJ Schoolcraft; Henry, Stephen, Lauren, Vivian and Eva Craig; Gwyneth, Ava and Landon Mitchell; Talan and Easton Stainbrook and Austin and Aiden Bingham; Blake, Brynna and Brody Smythe; and Emery and Norah Day. She is also survived by two brothers, Danny Cline and Steven Cline, two sisters, Regina Bradley and Sherry Graves and a countless number of nieces and nephews, cousins and dear family friends, including her former caregiver, Angie Reason.
</p>
<p>
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joe; her parents, Luther and Georgia Cline; her stepmother, Nubia Cline; and her siblings Florine Mandrell; Elbridge Cline; Woodrow Cline; Margaret Higgins; Noble Cline; Max Cline; Joyce Tabelman; Joe Allen Cline; and Howard Cline.
