FRANKLIN, IN.

Helen Rosemary (Blaich) Jones 94 of Franklin, IN formerly of Whiteland, IN passed away Thursday January 7, 2021 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana in Columbus, IN. She was born December 15, 1926 in Union Township, Johnson County, Indiana to Alfie and Della (McClain) Blaich. She married Dale Wesley Jones on September 10, 1940 at First Christian Church of Bargersville, IN, he preceded her in death on January 22, 1990. She was a 1945 graduate of Center Grove High School. She had served as deputy Johnson County Treasurer for 10 years and previously had been a bookkeeper for Eli Lilly and Company and worked for the Johnson County Extension Office in Franklin for 5 years. She was a member of Community Congregation Church now known as Hurricane Community Church in Franklin where she served as treasurer of the women’s guild, was a member of the church choir and her Sunday school builders class. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, the Clark Township Co-Workers Home Economic Club, the Nim and Thimble Quilting Club and was a volunteer for the Johnson County Museum of History. Survivors include her daughters Lois Ann Holiday of Shelbyville, IN and Sue Ellen Struckman of Whiteland, IN, a son Mark Allen Jones of Franklin, IN, three grandchildren Laura Nichole Struckman of Smyrna, TN, Wesley Holiday of Franklin, IN and Walter Holiday of Peru, IN, two great grandchildren Danica Lynn Struckman and Shauna Holiday and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter Marilyn Jones on March 20, 2015, sisters Marcia Mathena, Alma Oden, Christina Blaich, Eva Pollack, Raymond Blaich, Noble Blaich, Eldon Blaich and an infant sibling. Due to COVID-19 Mandates, a private family service with the Reverend Charles Stanley conducting will be live-streamed at 2PM on Sunday January 10, 2020 at 2PM at www.swartzmortuary.com/obituary/helen-jones.
