<p>
Iona Marie Campbell of St. Cloud, Florida went to her heavenly home on Sunday, Jan. 10, 2021, at the age of 93.
</p>
<p>
Marie was born on Aug. 3, 1927 in Austin, Indiana to Lewis Sheridan Chasteen and Rose Blanche (Carr) Chasteen. A former resident of Scottsburg, Indiana, Marie graduated from Scottsburg High School in 1945. She married James Campbell on June 22, 1946 and celebrated 68 years of marriage before his death in 2014.
</p>
<p>
She did secretarial work at Farmers Production Credit, the Scottsburg Methodist Church secretary, and the Scott County License Branch. Later, in Florida, she became an Avon Representative and worked part-time at the Ocoee Auto Auction.
</p>
<p>
Marie’s church life was always important to her. She was a former member of the Austin United Methodist Church, Scottsburg United Methodist Church, Kissimmee United Methodist Church and current member of the First United Methodist Church of Winter Garden, FL., where she attended the Cappleman Sunday School Class, the Candle Light Circle, volunteered in the church library, and was active in the life of the church.
</p>
<p>
Her gift of cooking was evident in the way she cared for the ill, church and park dinners, and loved cooking for her family, especially her apple pies. She loved growing house and garden plants, sewing, camping, and was faithful to her daily devotions. Her favorite pastime was playing Skip Bo with family and friends.
</p>
<p>
Being the mother of five children, her work as a mother and housewife were her passions. Marie had a wonderful nickname, "White Lightning"! We will miss that beautiful white hair, her unending warm hugs and kisses and her favorite phrase when told she was loved was "I love you more"! She was indeed an angel on earth to her family and friends.
</p>
<p>
Marie was preceded in death by her husband, James; her son, Mike; her grandson, Andy; her parents; her sister, Wilma, and her brothers, Wilbur, Wayne, Lewis Jr. "Jake", and Everitt.
</p>
<p>
Marie is survived by her sister, Nina Vance; her children, Sandi Huddleston (Steve), Sue Anderson (Larry), Karla Pare (Ron), and John (Joni) Campbell. She has 8 grandchildren: James, Gabriel, Jeremy, Dustin, Matthew, Allison, Jordan and Tanner; seven great-grandchildren: Brooks, Auden, Jude, Jasmin, Walker, Ruby Marie, and Campbell.
