Mr. Edwin Gridley, age 70, entered this life on April 12th 1950 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was the son of Edwin Dale and Betty Jean Gridley. He graduated from Franklin Community High School in 1968 and attended Indiana State University in Terre Haute. Edwin served in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged. He worked several years with Indianapolis Power and Light Company and worked 33 years with the Madison State Hospital in Madison, Indiana as the Steam Plant Supervisor. Edwin enjoyed the outdoors, especially shooting his guns, hunting, and fishing. He enjoyed flowers, trees, birds, and building his new lake. He dearly loved his dogs and Camaro’s. He passed on Tuesday, January 5th 2021, at his home in Lexington, Indiana.

Edwin will be missed by his loving daughter, Julie Schroeder and her boy friend, Bill Steele, who had become a big part of his life; his loving son, Jeff Gridley; his mother, Betty Jean Gridley; his brothers, Tim and Mike Gridley; his grandchildren, Logan & Lacey Young; his great grandchild, Tony Michael; nieces, nephews and a lot of special friends he had met along the way. He was preceded in death by his father, Edwin Dale Gridley, and his grandparents, Pryor and Alice Gridley.

Edwin chose cremation and a celebration of life to be scheduled in May 2021 at his residence, all friends and family members are welcome to attend.
</p>

In lieu of flowers, Edwin would be honored by memorial contributions to the Jefferson County Animal Shelter. Cards are available at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centres of Hanover and Madison.
