Lois Ann (Jones) Holiday, 66, of Shelbyville, IN formerly of Kouts, IN passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at IU Health University Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. She was born June 6, 1954 in Franklin, Johnson County, Indiana to Dale and Helen (Blaich) Jones.

She was a 1972 graduate of Whiteland Community High School. She went to Indiana State and graduated in 1976. She graduated Western State University College of Law in 1981. She worked for the state of Indiana from 1981 until 1983. She was a Deputy Prosecutor in Johnson County from 1983 to 1991 and was in private practice from 1991 to 1996. In 1996 she joined the Porter County prosecutor’s office in Valparaiso as its domestic violence deputy prosecutor. Lois was nominated for an award by the Caring Place, a shelter for women and children in northwest Indiana. She was a member of Community Congregational Church in Franklin, IN and was also a member of Kouts Christian Church in Kouts, IN where she participated on six mission trips with the Kouts Christian Church mission teams. She was a member of the church choir and her Sunday school class. She was also a member of the Johnson and Porter county 4-H program and founded the Kouts Senior Citizens program. She helped at the M2M food pantry now known as the Manna House food pantry in Shelbyville, IN.

Survivors include a brother Mark Allen Jones of Franklin, IN and Sister Sue Ellen Struckman of Whiteland, IN, her two sons Wesley Ernest Holiday of Franklin, IN, and Walter Ernest Holiday of Wabash, IN. Granddaughters Shauna Lynnae Holiday and soon to be Isabella Aurora Anne Holiday. A niece Laura Nichole Struckman of Smyrna, TN and a great niece Danica Lynn Struckman.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Marilyn Jones on March 20, 2015.
</p>

Due to COVID-19 mandates, The Reverend Charles Stanley conducted a private family service on Saturday January 16, 2021 at 2PM and a video recording of the service is available to view at <a href="http://www.swartzmortuary.com/obituary/lois-holiday">www.swartzmortuary.com/obituary/lois-holiday</a>. A family graveside followed at Hurricane Cemetery in Franklin, IN.
