Florence "Flo" Agnes (Hill) Cast Hawkins, 89, Indianapolis, passed away at her residence on Thursday, January 21,2021. She was born on April 25, 1931 in Tennessee, to the late Clifton and Aldora (Michael) Hill. Flo married, her loving husband, James P. "Phil" Hawkins, in January of 1988.

<p>
She enjoyed working the counter at the Roselyn Bakery, at the Marwood Plaza location, in Indianapolis. Flo retired in 1988, after working there for five years. She loved playing bingo, and was an avid reader, especially historical romances. Flo also enjoyed working on puzzles and playing skipbo. She enjoyed gardening and took great pride, in caring for her beautiful roses. Flo attended the Greenwood Bible Baptist church, for over 18 years; she enjoyed serving as a greeter, for many years.

Flo is survived by her husband, James P. "Phil" Hawkins, of Indianapolis; nine children: Debra (David) Meyer, of Mooresville, Richard Cast, of Indianapolis, Carol (Michael) Jensen, of Wisconsin, James Cast, of Danville, In., Robert (Amy) Cast, of Lebanon, In., Denise (Larry) Roberson and Phillip (Darlene) Hawkins, all of Indianapolis, Anita Hazeltine, of North Carolina, and Melissa Hawkins, of Plainfield, In.; twenty-five grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
</p>
<p>
Sadly, she was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Clifton Hill Jr., Eugene Hill, and William Hill; two sisters, Karen Mitchell and Charity Bea Hill; two sons, Michael Cast and Timothy Hawkins; and one grandson, Kevin A. Haley.
</p>
<p>
The family will be holding services on Monday, July 25, 2021, at 11:00 a.m., at the Greenwood Bible Baptist, located at 1461 Sheek Rd. Greenwood, In. 46131. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m., until the time of the service. Pastor Todd Poynter will be officiating. Internment will follow at the Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens cemetery, in Fishers.
</p>
<p>
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial contributions to be made to Flo’s church, the Greenwood Bible Baptist Church.
</p>

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Jessen Funeral Home.
