TRAFALGAR
Troy David Staton, 56 of Trafalgar, passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at his residence.
He was born on September 21, 1964 in Anderson, Indiana to Frances Staton and Donna Jeane (Gimple) Staton. He married Mindy Staton on October 22, 2011. She lovingly survives. He is also survived by his father, Frances Staton, son Brandon Staton (Kasey); daughter Ashley Sargent (Andrew); grandchildren, Mercury Staton, Willow Sargent, Carson Sargent, Brentley Sargent, Issaiah Sargent; step-children, Andrew Baas (Jenna), Jacob Baas (Samantha) and Tyler Baas; step-grandchildren, Emma Baas, Luke Baas and Reid Baas and brothers, Todd Staton and William Staton. He was preceded in passing by his mother, Donna.
Troy was a 1982 graduate of Anderson Highland High School and a Ball State University graduate receiving his Master’s degree. He attended Indiana State and also did online courses at the University of Phoenix and Purdue.
Troy was an IT Tech, working on computers.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, racing, programming robots, trucks and guns. He loved his family and grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. He was a member of the Greyhound Rescue Society.
Visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday, January 27 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Due to COVID 19 mandates, masks and/or facial coverings are required with social distancing guidelines. A private family service will be live streamed on Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home’s Facebook page on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. Rev. Jenothy Irvine will be officiating.
