Bob Dewbrew, 90, passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2021 in Edgewater, FL.

Bob was born in Indianapolis, IN on June 7, 1930 to Elmer and Pauline Dewbrew.

He retired from the Chrysler Electrical Plant, Indianapolis, IN. He was the owner and operator of a funeral escort business for many years. After retirement, Bob moved to Edgewater, FL where he continued to be self-employed doing lawn care and security work for the Daytona 500. He, also, worked for the Daytona and Edgewater Police Departments assisting in security and traffic control. He was a member of Edgewater Alliance Christian Church. He enjoyed boating, fishing, shrimping, bowling, hunting, traveling and motorcycling.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Everetta (Retta) Dewbrew, his daughter, Linda Petree, sisters, Maybeth Walls and Corene Surface.

He is survived by three grandchildren, Christopher Owens, Robert Petree and Tracy Lynn Odem as well as six great grandchildren, Kyle Sanders, Shelbi Sanders, Phoenix Petree, Kierra Dobbs, Tyler Odem, and Tristen Odem. Also surviving are sisters, Mary Quintanilla (Felix), Thelma Frye, brothers, Clint Dewbrew, George Dewbrew (Angela) as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Jessen Funeral Home ~ Whiteland Chapel with visitation from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour. Bob will be laid to rest at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Greenwood, Indiana.

Per the Indiana State Governor, Eric Holcomb, and the Indiana State Department of Health’s mandate, all services and visitations are limited to 25 people or less as of December 13th, 2020. Masks are mandatory and are to be worn at all times.
