Lesley G. Maple, 64, of Greenwood, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 27, 2021. She was born on November 21, 1956 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
She was a graduate of Center Grove High School where she played volleyball. She started working for Kmart when she was a senior in high school and retired in 2017.
Lesley enjoyed snow skiing and water skiing, sitting by the pool while enjoying a book and a margarita, and she was at her happiest while swimming with her grandsons.
Lesley is survived by her husband, Daniel C. Maple; son, Daniel J. “DJ” Maple; grandchildren, Blake and Brock; mother, Maxine Roembke; siblings, Ronald (Joyce) Roembke, Mary (David) Hager, Deborah (John) Laughman and Craig (Kathy) Roembke; several nieces and nephews; and her dogs, Sissy and Bentley.
She was preceded in death by her father, Herbert Roembke.
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM Wednesday at G. H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home at The Gardens of Olive Branch, 1605 S. State Road 135. Funeral service will be conducted at 11:30 AM Thursday, February 4, 2021. She will be laid to rest at The Gardens at Olive Branch Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Johnson County Humane Society.
