GREENWOOD
Russell W. Elmore, 71, of Greenwood, passed away on January 31, 2021. He was born on August 30, 1949 in Indianapolis, IN, son of the late Almon and Vera (Raymer) Elmore.
Russ is a U.S. Air Force Vietnam veteran. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, and Shriners International. He owned and operated Elmore’s Firearms & Accessories in Greenwood, which he opened in 1985.
Russ is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Su Elmore; son, Jason (Emily) Elmore; grandson, Jase; sister, Barbara Page, Patricia (Jim) Pflum, Joan Gootee; brother, Jerry (Donna) Elmore; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 5, 2021 from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm at G. H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home at The Gardens of Olive Branch, 1605 S. State Road 135, Greenwood.
Russ will be laid to rest in The Gardens at Olive Branch, Greenwood. Memorial contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301.
