David Eugene Norris, Sr. (Pappy), 76, of Greenwood, passed away Saturday, February 6. 2021.
</p>
<p>
David was born in Marion, IN on May 19, 1944, the youngest child of the late James and Ruth (Ward) Norris. He married the love of his life, Darlene Delight (Gammy) on Valentine’s Day in 1965. They spent 44 wonderful years together.
</p>
<p>
He worked at and eventually retired from Dana Corporation after 30 years of service. He loved wood working, working on countless projects over the years. Mainly he enjoyed working with his hands, always looking for something to fix or repair. As he grew older, he loved watching and participating in his grandkids’ extracurricular activities.
</p>
<p>
Survivors include his son: David (Debbie) Norris, Jr., grandchildren: Madison (Griffin) Ball and Max Norris. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, and all his siblings.
</p>
<p>
Family and friends will gather Wednesday, February 10, 2021 for a Celebration of his life from 4-7p at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, 481 W. Main St. Greenwood, IN 46142. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 50 E. 91st St. #100, Indianapolis, IN 46240. Masks and social distancing will be required for those in attendance.
