Wilma Dean (Brown) LaMastus, 96 of Greenwood, passed away on Sunday morning, February 7, 2021.

Wilma was born on October 21, 1924 in Timothy, Tennessee to Charles A. Brown and Lillie (Bennett) Brown. Wilma graduated from Willow Grove High School in Willow Grove, Tennessee and then moved with her parents to Indianapolis. She worked at Curtiss-Wright during WWII and also was employed at Wm. H. Block Department store in downtown Indianapolis. Wilma met and married Hugh W. (Jack) LaMastus in February of 1942.

Wilma was a lifetime member of Mt. Auburn United Methodist Church in Greenwood, Indiana.

Wilma was preceded in death by her sons, Ronald B. LaMastus and Oscar Neal LaMastus; a daughter, Cody Ann LaMastus; sister, Hettie (Brown) Ballard; brother, Charles B. Brown and her parents, Charles A. Brown and Lillie (Benett) Brown.

Wilma’s surviving family is sister, Elizabeth (Brown) Lepere; granddaughter, Toni (LaMastus) Dockery; grandson, Chad LaMastus; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter and daughter-in-law, Cheryl (Straley) LaMastus.

There will be a private family funeral service at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home on Friday, February 12 and Wilma will be laid to rest at Harris Cemetery.
