Carolyn graduated from Fortville High School in 1952. She attended Ball State University before marrying Bud in March of 1955. Carolyn was a homemaker, and for several years worked part-time at the Community Shopper for dear family friends Dick and Sherry Collins. She was a member of the Cyntheanne Christian Church, and truly enjoyed fellowship with the congregation. She was an Honorary Retired member of the Alpha Phi Chapter of Psi Iota Xi Sorority. Carolyn was a voracious reader and talented seamstress. She enjoyed working in the yard, attending birthday dinners with her siblings, and taking care of her home and family.
</p>
<p>
More than anything Carolyn enjoyed spending time with her beloved grandchildren. To them, "Grammer and Gramper" were a constant presence at all sporting events and activities. They remember the historical trips she planned, multiple meals at MCL, how she always knew the names of their friends, and the homemade Halloween costumes she designed and sewed; all memories they will treasure forever.

Carolyn’s family would like to thank the Fortville community, friends, church members, and neighbors for their support and kindness.
