GREENWOOD, IN.
It is with much sorrow and great love that the family of Teresa Lynn (Shay) DeWees, 58, of Greenwood, Indiana, announce her passing on February 11, 2021. Terri was born on July 6, 1962, in Franklin, Indiana, and was a graduate of Center Grove High School in Greenwood, Indiana.
Terri devoted her life to her children and will be fondly remembered as an incredible mother who always put her children first. Terri had a heart for helping others. She spent much of her time volunteering through service, mission trips, and giving to those in their time of need. For years Terri could be found on the sidelines supporting her children in their many activities. They take comfort knowing her support and love will continue from her forever home in heaven.
Terri is survived by her parents Marvin L. Shay and JoAnn (Beals) Shay; three children, Lauren Sanders (Kraig), Whitney Gielczyk (Mark), and Will DeWees (Ashlyn); three grandchildren, Niya DeWees, Kinley Sanders, and Lilian Gielczyk; siblings, Mike Shay (Julie) and Steve Shay (Debbie). She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Private services will be conducted Friday. The family will be hosting a Memorial Service to celebrate her life at a later date.
