BARGERSVILLE, IN.

Mary Marie Heaton, born January 27th, 1930, went home to be with the Lord February 21, 2021. This 91 year old mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend will be remembered not by how she died but how she lived. Mary was born in Linton, Indiana to Roy Albert and Maud Mae (Fullom) Brannon and where she met the love of her life. She married Wilbur J. “Red” Heaton on March 12, 1955 in Linton, IN. He preceded her in death on September 19, 1993.

Mary is known as a hard worker, excellent cook (especially pies), gardening and canning, kindness, loving and serving Red, loving her children and grand children, traveling, reading, and generosity as well as having a favorite grandson (smile). Indiana will miss one of the foremost table talking Euchre players. Despite living most of her life with one eye and eventually going blind, Mary never asked God why and felt blessed to have her eyesight for 89 years! Her joy and encouragement were very contagious and her family hopes to carry on her legacy.

Brothers and sister preceding her in death are Homer Glenn Brannon, Wayne Edward Brannon, Donald Ray Brannon, and sister, Emma Hester (Brannon) Vernon

Mary is survived by daughters Shelia Rose (Heaton) Hendrickson (Jim) of Greenwood, IN, Elaine Marie (Heaton) Regas (Ron) of Uniontown, OH, Eileen Mary (Heaton) Vaught (Danny) of Bargersville, IN, son Roger Allen Van Horn of Bargersville, IN, grandchildren Angie Hendrickson, Andrew Hendrickson, Joseph Regas, John Regas (Morgan), Zachary Vaught (Keri), Thomas Vaught, Samuel Vaught (Hannah), eleven great-grandchildren and nieces Tana Burk and Brenda Vernon of Texas and Gail Brannon of Wisconsin.
