Mary Elizabeth (Joel) Pearce 89 of Greenwood, IN passed away Friday February 19, 2021 at University Heights Health and living Community in Indianapolis, IN. She was born August 9, 1931 in Smithville, Mississippi to Willie Oscar Joel and Mary Geneva (McBreyer) Joel. She had been a sales associate for NIKE at the Edinburgh Outlet Mall. She was a member of the Southport Church of Christ in Southport, IN. Mary enjoyed cooking, reading and was a seamstress. Survivors include her daughter Mary L. Wright (Charles) of Greenwood, IN and a son Mitchell R. Webb (Brenda) of Moss Point, MS, three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers William Junior Joel, Leland Joel, Melvin Joel and a sister Mary Ella Joel. Services will be private. Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN is handling the arrangements.
