Joseph Charles Twyman, age 84 of Greenwood, passed peacefully on Wednesday, March 3, 2021.
</p>
<p>
Joe was born in Indianapolis, Indiana; a son of the late Gurwin and Helen (Gosman) Twyman, both of whom preceded him in death. Joe, a lifetime resident of Greenwood, graduated from Greenwood High School in 1954 as a star athlete.
</p>
<p>
On June 18, 1955, Joe married Beverly (Martin) Twyman. Beverly passed away on March 3, 2000. They were blessed with two sons: Tim (Pattie) Twyman of Greenwood, IN and Ted (Teresa) Twyman of Blue Springs, MO. Joe worked for International Harvester for over 49 years as a cost accountant, retiring in 2004.

On April 15, 2006, Joe married Tonya (Mounce) Twyman; Mrs. Twyman survives. In addition to his wife, two sons and daughters-in-law, he is survived by four granddaughters: Tiffany (Jason) Hill, Tarah (Braden) Turner, Tatum (Seth) Evans, and Alicia Derish. Also, two stepsons: Mike (Jean) Raney and Jason Raney; three step granddaughters: Courtney, Jena, Breanna Raney; and six great grandchildren. Also surviving: his brother Jayme (Gladys) Twyman; half sisters: Jenny (Mike) Ford, Janet Waymer, Nancy (Greg) Davis, Traci (David) Roeck; half brothers: John Mark (Laura), Scott, and Lance. Finally, several nieces and nephews, as well as a host of many, many friends.

In addition to his parents and his first wife, Beverly, Joe was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Lou Jones, a granddaughter, Tamera Derish, and a step grandson, Chandler Raney.
</p>
<p>
Joe was known throughout Greenwood for his dedication to youth sports. He coached many years in Greenwood’s Little League Baseball, as well as Greenwood’s Parks and Rec Youth Basketball, and the Greenwood Bantam Football League.
</p>
<p>
Finally, Joe thoroughly enjoyed swapping and buying all sorts of things at Flea Markets, Antique Shops and Garage Sales. Joe was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Greenwood.
</p>
<p>
A public visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 10, 2021, from 5 to 7pm at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service &amp; Crematory, Greenwood Chapel, 481 West Main Street, Greenwood, IN. The funeral will be on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at 2pm at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service &amp; Crematory, Greenwood Chapel. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to Franciscan Hospice.
