GREENWOOD
Alice Jean (Henderson) Hudson, 81, of Greenwood went with Jesus to her eternal home, peacefully surrounded by her family, on March 10, 2021.
Alice was born to Charles E. and Nellie Henderson on October 17, 1939.
Alice was a graduate of Greenwood High School. She was a lifetime member of the First Baptist Church of Greenwood, where she married the love of her life, John L. Hudson, Sr on July 20, 1958.
She worked for over 40 years in the car dealership business before retiring from Capital City Ford, to be a childcare provider for her great granddaughters. Alice’s faith and family were her entire world. She enjoyed many family vacations, dinners, and celebrations as long as it involved her family or friends.
She taught us through her actions and her words and loved us unconditionally. Forever in our hearts until we are together again.
Alice is survived by her husband, John Sr.; daughter, Cheri Hamilton; sons, John (Kim) Hudson Jr., Rob (Beth) Hudson; grandchildren, Jamie, Stacy, Corey (Lisa), Sean, Joe, and Mike, and great grandchildren, Michelle, Lexi, Ava, Lillian, and Baby Hudson; siblings, Martha (John) Myers, Charles (Donna) Henderson and Lena (Everett) Combs; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Services for Alice are Monday, March 15 at 3:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Greenwood, with visitation from 1:00 until time of service. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory – Greenwood Chapel.
