Robert Joseph Dancey
82 of Unionville, Indiana passed away March 15, 2021. Bob was born on July 27, 1938 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Robert D. & Juanetia F. (Morris) Dancey. He proudly served in the United Sates Army for several years. He owned and operated Far West Construction, Inc. for 40 years. Bob belonged to numerous organizations including, Murat Shrine Club, Murat Yacht Club, Murat 500 Club, Bargersville Masonic Lodge No. 679, F & A M, Scottish Rite, American Legion Post 355, VFW, Moose Lodge, Elks and Disabled American Veterans. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kylee Edwards and a brother, Charles L. Dancey. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Barbara Dancey; four children, Roberta (David) Tate, Cindy (Darrell) Edwards, Robin Fugate, Vickie Headrick; four sisters, Sandra Dancey, Darlene (John) Carpenter, Kathleen (Joseph) Luckey, Marilyn Dancey; 10 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held Thursday, March 18th from 4-8 PM at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel, 481 W. Main Street, Greenwood. A celebration of Bob’s Life will be 1:00 pm Friday, March 19th at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
