Robert Louis Colin

Robert Louis Colin, 91 of Greenwood, passed away on Monday, March 15, 2021.

He was born on May 15, 1929 Mt. Pulaski, Illinois to Bernard and Catherine (Hoffman) Colin. He married Marilyn McMillin on July 21, 1951. She lovingly survives. Bob is also survived by their children, Cathy (Steve) Broniszewski of Franklin; Vicki (Jim) Robinson of Port Charlotte, Florida; Diane (Dan) Moore of Sellersburg, Bob (Luann) Colin of Bargersville and Terri (Rick) Ransdell of Nineveh. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; three sisters, Ruth (Paul, deceased) Platt of Dallas, Texas; Rosalea (Gary, deceased) Wilbur of Cazenovia, New York; Sharon Colin of Jeffersonville and sister-in-law, Betty (Leo, deceased) Colin of Martinsville. He was preceded in passing by his parents; three sisters, Mary, Hilda and Alice and brother, Leo.

Bob was a graduate of Franklin High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army.

He was employed by Indianapolis Power and Light, retiring after forty years of service.

Bob was a youth football/baseball coach. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Franklin American Legion Post No. 205. He enjoyed woodworking.

Father Steve Schaftlein will conduct a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, March 19 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 114 Lancelot Drive, Franklin, Indiana 46131 with visitation on Friday from 10:00 a.m. to time of funeral mass at the church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Indianapolis where military honors will be conducted. Masks or face coverings are required with social distancing.
