Makyah Ann McClain

Makyah Ann McClain, 17, of Greenwood, Indiana passed away Saturday, March 13, 2021. She was born November 16, 2003 in Indianapolis to Michelle (Berry) Rumble and Jeremy McClain.
</p>
<p>
Makyah was a Junior at Greenwood High School where she was a Peer Mentor to elementary and middle school kids. She loved math and science and was focused on seeking a pathway to attend IUPUI and becoming an anesthesiologist. Makyah could often be found on TikTok dancing, or just be snapping selfies to share.
</p>
<p>
When Makyah got her driver’s license, she chose to offer the gift of tissue donation; her lower long bones will go to up to 100 different recipients, her knees may be used to replace the knees of two other people, and her skin grafts will go to several others, typically burn victims or cancer survivors.
</p>
<p>
Makyah was a smart, beautiful soul, who lived life to the fullest. She loved, and was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
</p>
<p>
Makyah is survived by her parents, Michelle (Tracy) Rumble, and Jeremy (Autumn) McClain; brother, Jaxton McClain; stepbrother, Tyler Rumble; grandparents, Joe and Patty Doyle, Kathy Compton, and Hubert Rumble; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
</p>

Makyah is preceded in death by her grandfather, Mark Berry.
</p>

Family will receive friends from 4:00pm – 8:00pm Friday, March 19 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood, IN 46143. Funeral service will be Saturday, March 20 at 11:00am, also at Forest Lawn.
