Gary Joseph Bush

MARTINSVILLE

Gary Joseph Bush, of Martinsville, Indiana passed away on Friday, March 19, 2021 with his loving wife, Kay by his side. He was 72 years old. Gary was born in Beech Grove, Indiana on November 29, 1948 to the late Gurney J. Bush and Dora May (Newerth) Bush. He graduated from Southport High School in 1967, and proudly served his country in the United States Army. He founded Liquid Waste Removal in 1983, where he continued to be owner and president until his death. Gary loved cars, being an avid collector and member of the Southside Corvette Club for many years. When he wasn’t hanging out at the drag racing track or scoping out new additions for his collection at a car show, he could be found cruising in his corvette or his blue “grocery getter” station wagon to go catch a softball game. Gary was a devoted softball fan, never missing his daughter’s games. He was president of the Greenwood Lassie League for many years.

Gary is survived by his wife Kathy “Kay” (Chapman) Bush; daughter, Erica Croteau (Nate); bonus sons, Brandon Dukes (Brittany), Justin Dukes (Carissa); grandchildren, Brantley, and Everly Dukes, Kye and Bella Pearson; sister, Stephanie Hamilton (David); stepbrother, Jim Joyce; nephew, Chad Laker (Christine); and many beloved great-nieces and nephews.

Services for Gary are Wednesday, March 24 at 11:00 AM at Singleton and Herr Mortuary and Memorial Center, 7602 Madison Ave. Indianapolis 46227 with visitation on Tuesday, March 23 at the funeral home from 5-8:00, and on Wednesday from 10:00 until time of service.
