Amy Elizabeth Furry

CARMEL, IN.

Amy Elizabeth (Edenburn) Furry passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2021 in Carmel, Indiana after a courageous battle with cancer. Born April 4, 1960 in Lebanon, Indiana to Lyle Keith and Alice Ann (Jackson) Edenburn, she spent most of her life in Indiana, living in Kentland, Akron, Urbana, Jimtown, Brownsburg, Indianapolis, and Greenwood. She was currently living in Lakewood Ranch, Florida.

A 1978 graduate of Brownsburg High School, she played the flute in the band, and during that time was a guest flautist with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. She furthered her education at Purdue University, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Consumer and Family Sciences in 1982. While there she enjoyed playing flute with the Purdue Symphony. Amy earned an MBA in Marketing from Butler University in 1991. She married the love of her life, Stephen L. Furry, on May 19, 2000 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Amy was a consummate professional, working as a Marketing Director for Anthem, Inc.; a Manager and Strategy Consultant for Ford Motor Company; a Director of Program Service Development for My Health Care Manager, LLC; Co-Founder with her husband Steve of Catalyst Healthcare Advisors, and most recently as Founder and Managing Partner of CHCA Holdings, LLC.

Most important in Amy’s life were her husband, her family, her friends, and her dog Deja, and she loved all of them dearly. Whether it was potlucks and family celebrations, dinner out with friends, music concerts, trips to Disney with her granddaughters, or gatherings at the beach house in Siesta Key, she relished in her relationships with others. Amy had a strong faith and love of Jesus Christ. She encouraged everyone she knew to develop a relationship with God.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 20 years, Stephen Furry. Others include her father, Lyle Edenburn; siblings David (Corina) Edenburn of Singapore, Ann (Greg) Stamps of Indianapolis, IN, Amanda (Paul) Thomas of Westerville, Ohio; sister-in-law Deana Edenburn of Zionsville, IN; brother Andrew Edenburn of Plainfield, IL; stepchildren, Ryan Furry of Indianapolis, IN, Lauren (Dustin) Witham of St Louis, MO, and Eric (Lyndsey) Furry of Carmel, IN; granddaughters Layla and Jolene Witham; nephews Logan (Lindsay) Stamps; Lucas (Steph) Stamps; Austin Edenburn, and nieces Lauren Edenburn; Abigail Edenburn and Katie Thomas.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Alice (Jackson) Edenburn, and her brother Daniel Edenburn.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, Indiana on Saturday, April 3 at 2:00 PM, where we can share wonderful memories and celebrate a life well lived.
