<p>Softball</p><p><strong>Trojans blank Warriors</strong></p><p>Abbi Patton pitched a two-hit shutout and got plenty of offensive support in Center Grove’s 14-0 rout of Warren Central on Tuesday. The Trojans (5-0) were led offensively by Ashlynn Wolff (2 for 3, triple, 2 runs, 5 RBIs) and Alexis Rudd (3 for 3, 2 doubles, 3 runs, 4 RBIs).</p><p><strong>Lancers throttle Twisters</strong></p><p>Edinburgh jumped all over Oldenburg Academy in a 19-1 victory. Alix Streeval had three hits and a pair of RBIs for the Lancers (2-2), while MacKenzie Bieker drove in three runs. Kyah Streeval and Catie Streeval each had a pair of hits and scored three runs. Each of the 11 Edinburgh players who entered the game scored at least once.</p><p><strong>Grizzly Cubs fall to Quakers</strong></p><p>A rough first inning came back to haunt Franklin in a 3-1 loss at Plainfield. Corin Dammeier had an RBI double in the seventh inning, but the comeback bid fell short for the Grizzly Cubs (1-1). Izzy Harrison threw  struck out 14 in 5 2/3 innings of scoreless relief.</p><p><strong>Royals beat Columbus North</strong></p><p>Keagan Rothrock homered and struck out 15 batters in Roncalli’s 8-2 victory over Columbus North. Gracie Holok also homered for the Royals, while Lyla Blackwell had two doubles and 3 RBIs.</p><p>Baseball</p><p><strong>Warriors outslug Cardinals</strong></p><p>Whiteland scored three times in the fifth inning to earn an 8-5 victory over Southport on Tuesday. Jonathan Crowley, Brant Kunz and Landen Wood each drove in a pair of runs for the Warriors (2-1).</p><p>Girls tennis</p><p><strong>Trojans edged by Bull Dogs</strong></p><p>Center Grove came up just short in a 3-2 loss to third-ranked Columbus North on Tuesday. The No. 13 Trojans got a victory from Deepthi Shankar at third singles and the team of Hudson Gilstorf and Lauren Dick at second doubles.</p><p><strong>Lancers blanked by Olympians</strong></p><p>Edinburgh was beaten by Columbus East, 5-0. Bethany Burton was the Lancer closest to picking up a point, falling in a third-set tiebreak at No. 2 singles.</p><p><strong>Royals fall to Guerin</strong></p><p>Roncalli took a 4-1 loss to Guerin Catholic. Lili Wisler earned a three-set win at No. 3 singles for the Royals.</p><p>Track and field</p><p><strong>Grizzly Cubs win three-way</strong></p><p>Franklin’s boys defeated East Central and host Shelbyville on Tuesday. The Grizzly Cubs won the 4×800 and 4×400 relays and got individual wins from Greg Hueston (400), Ethan Pheifer (800 and 1,600), Anthony McDonald (3,200), Gavin Wilson (300 hurdles), Collin Webb (long jump) and Carmelo Cameron (high jump).</p><p><strong>Warriors sweep Flashes</strong></p><p>Whiteland prevailed in a close dual meet with Franklin Central, with the girls pulling out a 66-65 victory and the boys winning by a 69-63 score.</p><p>The Warrior girls won the 4×100 and 4×800 relays and got two victories apiece from Gabi Allen (100 hurdles, 200), Bella Jackson (100, high jump) and Drew Mallory (discus, shot put), while Claire Overfelt took the 3,200.</p><p>Tristan Thomas was first in the 100 and long jump for the Whiteland boys, who also won the 4×100 and 4×800. Also earning wins were James Mangan (110 hurdles), Will Jefferson (1,600), Brayley Starr (pole vault), Latrell Jennings (high jump) and Nathaniel Morris (300 hurdles).</p><p><strong>Woodmen fall to Dragons</strong></p><p>Greenwood dropped both halves of its dual meet with New Palestine, with the boys losing by a 70-62 margin and the girls falling 87-44.</p><p>Tanner Allen was first in the 100 and 200 and was part of the winning 4×100 relay for the Woodmen boys, who also got victories from C.J. Price (high jump), Gabe Long (shot put), Brayden Gardner (discus), Luke Hommell (110 hurdles) and Noah McCracken (1,600).</p><p>The girls also won the 4×100 and got individual firsts from Siena Halfaker (100 hurdles), Ellie Irwin (high jump), Quinn Kelly (long jump) and Amy Luttrell (pole vault).</p><p>Boys volleyball</p><p><strong>Royals sweep Covenant</strong></p><p>Roncalli was a three-set winner over Covenant Christian, 25-13, 25-6, 25-8. John Kesterton and Thomas TenBarge each had five kills for the Royals, while Andrew Dial finished with 14 assists.</p>
