<p>Girls tennis</p><p><strong>Grizzly Cubs roll in opener</strong></p><p>Franklin got its season started with a 5-0 victory over Perry Meridian on Friday. Rylie Wilkison, Ailyn Hendricks and Emma Williams were singles winners for the Grizzly Cubs, Haylie and Chelsie Rayl teamed up for a victory at No. 1 doubles and Emma Sappenfield and Haley Haldeman won in the second spot.</p><p><strong>Trojans post shutout win</strong></p><p>Center Grove coasted past Terre Haute South, 5-0, with Ashlee Fisk, Sonya Vyas and Deepthi Shankar sweeping the singles points in straight sets. Sapna Vyas and Sydney Plowman won at first doubles, while Lauren Dick and Hudson Gilstorf were victorious in the No. 2 spot.</p><p><strong>Braves come up short</strong></p><p>Sullivan managed to clinch a 3-0 victory over Indian Creek before weather cut the match short. The Braves’ No. 1 doubles team of Emilee Scott and Olivia Perry was tied at one set apiece in their match when it was called.</p>
