Martha Anderson

INDIANAPOLIS

Martha Anderson, 96, passed away April 5, 2021 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Martha was born November 1, 1924 to the late Lucas John and Faye (Hollipeter) Rohe in Richmond, Indiana.

Martha graduated from Richmond High School where she was awarded Ms.Richmond. She was a stay-at-home mom until her children were grown. After her children were grown, she went on to work at several boutiques where she got to share her passion for bling and fancy clothes. Martha volunteered at Community Hospital South where she often donated blood. She also was a volunteer with United Service Organizations. She enjoyed playing bridge, baking, cooking, and loved spending time with her girlfriends. Martha also enjoyed playing golf. Martha was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Richmond for many years. Martha was a proud mother of her four children.

Martha is survived by Linda Chastain, Jane Pine, Jeff Anderson (Kathy), and Terry Anderson, 6 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.

Martha is preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Jack Anderson, as well as one brother, Rod Rohe.

The family of Martha Anderson would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the caregivers and staff at Magnolia Springs Southpointe who referred to Martha as their “Pretty Princess” and her Heritage Hospice team.

A visitation will be held Monday, April 12th from 1-3 PM at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service, Greenwood Chapel, 481 West Main Street, Greenwood. A funeral service will begin at 3 PM. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Magnolia Springs Southpointe MSS fund which supports their employee programs.
