<p>Softball</p><p><strong>Trojans top Artesians</strong></p><p>Payton Shimansky homered, doubled and drove in three runs to lead Center Grove to a 6-1 home victory over Martinsville on Monday. Ashlynn Wolff scored two runs and knocked in two more for the Trojans (7-2) in support of winning pitcher Alexis Rudd, who struck out six.</p><p><strong>Warriors come up short</strong></p><p>Whiteland suffered a 13-6 loss at Columbus North despite a 3-for-3 day from Jordan Smith, who had a home run, a double and three RBIs. Haley Wilkerson added a solo homer for the Warriors (1-3).</p><p><strong>Lancers beaten by Jets</strong></p><p>A nine-run third from Hauser was too much for visiting Edinburgh to overcome in a 16-5 loss on Monday. MacKenzie Bieker and Carly Cowan each drove in a pair of runs for the Lancers (2-4, 0-2 Mid-Hoosier), while Kyah Streeval tripled and scored twice.</p><p>Girls tennis</p><p><strong>Warriors defeat Pioneers</strong></p><p>Whiteland picked up a 4-1 win over Mooresville on Monday. Sarah Scott, Brooke Boehnlein and Sara Ullrich swept the singles points for the Warriors (3-0, 1-0 Mid-State), while Kaylee Hoagland and Lauren Trimble won at second doubles.</p><p><strong>Royals pick up victory</strong></p><p>Roncalli defeated Covenant Christian, 4-1, with Rebecca Zakrowski and Lili Wisler winning in straight sets at second and third singles. Cambri Lux and Bridget Hehmann were victorious at No. 1 doubles, while Katrina Gangstad and Elsie Kerr won in the No. 2 spot.</p>
