D. Eldon Tow

BARGERSVILLE

D. Eldon Tow, 79, of Bargersville, was called home to the Lord April 12, 2021. He was born February 1, 1942 in Akron, Colorado to Loren and Beulah Mae (Jacobson) Tow.

Eldon was a devoted husband to his wife of 59 years, Marilyn (Blackwell) Tow. Together they raised three children. The family enjoyed many camping and fishing trips when they were all younger. In 1983 Eldon went to work at the Indiana Masonic Home and was there for 20 years before his health began to decline. Eldon treasured family memories and spent countless hours regaling his children with stories of growing up in eastern Colorado. In later years, Eldon’s love of family history created a passion for family genealogy which often resulted in travel to meet the places & people of his past. Eldon was dedicated to his family and will be greatly missed by many.

The family would like to express their thanks to Adam, Sonja and all the Paradigm staff for their support over the last several months.

Eldon will be forever remembered by his wife, Marilyn; children, Sherri (Robert) Smithey, Dale. E. Tow, Jr "Butch", and Melanie (Jon) Carmack; grandchildren, Brittany, Austin, Kyle, Brooke, and Cameron; great grandchildren, Karsen, Lane, Cash, Harlan, Brooks, and Jonathan; siblings, Dave (Rose) Tow, and Lorine Boyd; and many, many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Eldon was preceded in death by four of his siblings.

Family will receive friends Friday, April 16 from 11:00am – 1:00pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood, Indiana 46143, with a graveside committal service to follow at 1:00pm.
