Lilly Arnell Grizzle Stradley, 72, passed away at her home in Webster, Texas on May 3, 2020.
Arnell, a native Hoosier, felt most at peace in Indiana and always considered it her home. She was a 1965 graduate of Clark High School in Whiteland and a graduate of Central Business College in Indianapolis. She had a long and varied career which included serving as the first word processor in Eli Lilly’s legal department; an administrator in the Campus Police Department at Butler University; and a legal secretary with the law firm of Woodard, Emhardt, Naughton, Moriarty and McNett.
She loved to bake, do needlework, spoil her grandchildren and watch Butler University basketball. Most of all she loved her family, they were the center of her world and she treasured every moment she spent with them.
Arnell is predeceased by her mother and father, Florence and Maurice Grizzle; her sister, Joyce Grizzle; her brother Timothy Grizzle; and her son, R.T. Stradley.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Matthew Hoff, of League City, TX, granddaughter, Julia and grandson, Spencer.
A memorial service is planned for 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 22nd at St. James’ Episcopal Church in Vincennes. Online memories may be shared with Arnell’s family and friends at www.goodwinsieversfh.com. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored to assist the Stradley family with arrangements.
